Bartender
Purpose Statement
•
To oversee the daily operation of the assigned Bars and to ensure that
assigned public areas are kept clean, neat and tidy at all times.
• To greet Guests in a professional manner, to provide them with prompt, courteous and friendly Beverage service at the assigned Bar counters and to provide prompt Beverage service to the service Staff.
• To do additional duties in other departments such as gangway duties, light luggage, wheelchair assistance and Teatime service etc. as necessary.
• To provide a six star service to all Guests and to deal with complaints and comments in an efficient and timely manner.
• To greet Guests in a professional manner, to provide them with prompt, courteous and friendly Beverage service at the assigned Bar counters and to provide prompt Beverage service to the service Staff.
• To do additional duties in other departments such as gangway duties, light luggage, wheelchair assistance and Teatime service etc. as necessary.

General
Responsibilities
•
To oversee the daily operation of the assigned Bars and to ensure that

• To monitor and control assigned bar inventories and to make Bonded, Subsistence and Consumable requisitions accordingly.
• To ensure that the assigned Bar is ready for service as per scheduled time.
• To maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in assigned pantries and Bars and to oversee cleaning procedures in all Bars (according to schedule and instructions), following the detail of USPH standards at all times).
• To ensure the proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment in Bars and Pantries at all times.
• To follow and execute the Shipboard Sanitation Program and to complete and update all Sanitation Log sheets as per policy.
• To ensure that all equipment is properly and securely stored away when not on duty and to keep assigned areas clean and tidy at all times.
• To monitor the inventory of lockers and to ensure that they are all kept organized, clean and tidy at all times and in accordance to safety rules and regulations.
• To do additional duties in other departments such as gangway duties, light luggage, wheelchair assistance and Teatime service etc. as necessary.
• To train, coach, council, support and delegate the Bar Waiters and Bar Utility Staff in assigned Bars.
• To guide the Bar Waiters and Bar Utilities and to ensure that everyone is updated with relevant shipboard information at all times.
• To assist the Assistant Bar Manager in preparing Performance Appraisals for the Bar Waiters/tresses and Bar Utility Staff in assigned Bars.
• To report work orders when deficiencies are noted or when maintenance is required and to follow up on the work orders in a timely manner.
• To ensure that Work Registration Forms for the Bar Waiters and Bar Utility Staff in assigned Bars are completed correctly and handed in to the Assistant Bar Manager in a timely manner.
• To adhere to and to ensure that the Bar Waiters/tresses and Bar Utility Staff in assigned Bars adheres to all Company Policies and Procedures, Manuals and Directives.
• Other responsibilities such as but not limited to drink specials, in port manning list, updating tip spread sheet with night auditor, updating POS screens, work schedules as assigned.

Education/Position
Requirements
•
College Degree/Diploma or Hotel School or other relevant apprenticeship
in the food service industry required.
• Minimum of two (2) year experience in a luxury international hotel property as a Bartender or one (1) year experience in the luxury cruise ship industry in a Bartender position preferred.
•Must be fluent in written and spoken in
Mandarin. Basic English language knowledge is required.
• Excellent interpersonal and public communication skills.
• Must have very good administrative skills (proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel).
• A good knowledge of Micros procedures and setup.
• Must have good product and beverage knowledge.
• Very good organizational skills are necessary along with the ability to multi-task.
• Must possess excellent leadership skills and must be able to maintain a team spirit and the ability to interact with all levels of people.
• Must be able to communicate and implement corrective action steps in an effective, yet diplomatic fashion.
• In depth Dream Manifesto knowledge and understanding.
